Erepublik is a massively multiple player online, social networking and strategy web browser game. The game allows players to participate as individual citizens in an online mirror of the real world. It was developed by Alexis Bonte and George Lemnaru. Erepublik went private invite only on Beta on November 20, 2007. According to an interview given by Alexis Bonte more than 12,000 invites have been given out as of February 2008. As of 28 April 2008, there are more than 10,000 people waiting for invitation to the website. Beta testers come from 43 different countries, and the website logs around 5.5 million page views a month. There are currently 14 members of staff for the website besides the creators.
