Dracorex is a dinosaur genus of the family Pachycephalosauridae, from the Late Cretaceous of North America. The type (and only) species is Dracorex hogwartsia, meaning "dragon king of Hogwarts". It is known from one nearly complete skull (the holotype TCMI 2004.17.1), as well as four cervical vertebrae including the atlas, third, ninth and eighth. These were discovered in the Hell Creek Formation in South Dakota by three amateur paleontologists from Sioux City, Iowa.

De soort werd in 2006 beschreven door Robert Bakker. De geslachtsnaam is een samentrekking van de Latijnse woorden voor "draak" en "koning"; de soortnaam is een verwijzing naar Hogwarts, de school van het romanpersonage Harry Potter die tijdens zijn avonturen menige draak tegenkomt.
De vondst bestaat uit een enkele goed bewaard gebleven schedel van veertig centimeter lengte, die gekenmerkt wordt door lange scherpe uitsteeksels aan de achterand en op de neus die het dier het uiterlijk geven van een draak. Verder zijn er drie losse wervels. Bakker deelt Dracorex in bij de Pachycephalosaurinae en meent dat de uitsteeksels een gevolg zijn van neotenie en dat dit verschijnsel eerdere kladistische analyses van de verwantschappen binnen de groep Pachycephalosauria waardeloos maakt. De schedel is van boven vrij vlak en de extreme verdikking van het schedeldak ontbreekt. Het dier was zo'n drie meter lang. Het holotype van Dracorex bestaat uit een juveniel exemplaar; het kan dus zijn dat het het jong betreft van een al bekende pachycephalosauriër; in hetzelfde gebied kwam gelijktijdig Pachycephalosaurus voor.
De vondst werd in 2004 gedaan in de Hell Creek Formation van Zuid-Dakota door amateurpaleontoloog Steve Saulsbury en datzelfde jaar nog door hem gedoneerd aan het Children's Museum of Indianapolis die een volledige skeletreconstructie van het dier heeft laten vervaardigen waarvan de postcrania dus gebaseerd zijn op de schaarse kennis die we van de romp van pachycephalosauriërs hebben.
