It joined the Bob Carr Theater, which originally opened as the Orlando Municipal Auditorium in 1927, to become Orlando's main performance venue. The center's grand opening was held on November 6, 2014. Barton Myers is the design architect, with Artec Acoustic Consultants and Theatre Project Consultants designing the theaters.
