- Women's 3 meter springboard competition at the Beijing 2008 Summer Olympics was held from August 15 to August 17, at the Beijing National Aquatics Center. It is an individual diving competition, with dives performed from a flexible springboard three meters above the surface of the water. The individual diving competitions all consist of three rounds. In the first, the 30 divers each perform five dives. The top 18 divers advance to the semifinals. Each diver again performs five dives, and the top 12 divers from among those dives advance to the finals. Preliminary scores are ignored at this point, as only the semifinal scores are considered in advancement. In the final round, the divers perform a final set of five dives, with the scores from those dives (and only those dives) used to determine final ranking. Seven judges evaluate each dive, giving the diver a score between 0 and 10 with increments of 0.5; scores below 7.0 or above 9.5 are rare. The highest and lowest score from each judge are dropped. The remaining five scores are summed, multiplied by 0.6, and multiplied by the degree of difficulty of the dive to give the total score for the dive. Scores from each dive in the round are summed to give the round score. (en)
- Der Wettbewerb Kunstspringen vom 3-m-Brett der Frauen bei den Olympischen Sommerspielen 2008 in der chinesischen Hauptstadt Peking wurde vom 15. bis zum 17. August 2008 im Nationalen Schwimmzentrum ausgetragen. 30 Athletinnen nahmen daran teil. Jedem der 30 Starterinnen standen fünf Qualifikationssprünge zu. Die 18 besten Springerinnen qualifizierten sich für das Halbfinale, die Punkte aus der Qualifikation wurden gelöscht. Im Halbfinale wurden wieder fünf Sprünge absolviert. Die zwölf besten Springerinnen kamen ins Finale, in dem die Punkte wieder gelöscht wurden. Auch im Finale wurde fünf Mal gesprungen. (de)
- Al concorso dei tuffi dal trampolino 3 metri femminile dei Giochi della XXIX Olimpiade hanno partecipato 30 atlete; le prime 18 dopo il primo turno sono passate alle semifinali, mentre hanno disputato la finale le prime 12 tuffatrici con il miglior punteggio (dato dalla somma del primo turno e delle semifinali). - A competição do trampolim de 3 m individual feminino dos saltos ornamentais nos Jogos Olímpicos de Verão de 2008 foi realizada nos dias 15, 16 e 17 de agosto no Centro Aquático Nacional de Pequim. A competição de saltos ornamentais é composta de 3 fases. Na primeira, as 29 atletas executam cinco saltos. As 18 atletas mais bem colocadas se classificam para as semifinais. Novamente, cada atleta executa cinco saltos e as 12 mais bem colocadas avançam para as finais. Nas finais, os atletas executam mais cinco saltos. A cada nova fase, os resultados da fase anterior são desconsiderados. Cada salto é avaliado por sete juízes, com notas de zero a dez e incremento de meio (0,5) ponto. A pontuação abaixo de 7,0 e acima de 9,5 são raros. Dessas sete notas, são descartadas a nota mais baixa e a mais alta. As demais notas são somadas, multiplicadas por 0,6 e depois multiplicada pelo grau de dificuldade atribuído ao salto. O resultado desta operação é o valor atribuído ao salto. (pt)
