- The German Library in Frankfurt am Main (Deutsche Bibliothek abbreviated: DB) was a predecessor of the German National Library (DNB). From 1947 to 1990 it was the West German counterpart to the Deutsche Bücherei in Leipzig, founded in 1912, with the task of collecting German documents and publishing the national bibliography. After the reunification of Germany in 1990, the German Library and the German Library were merged to form "The German Library". Since 2006 it has been called the "German National Library". In 2006, around 8.3 million of the total holdings of the German National Library of 22.2 million units were stored in Frankfurt am Main. At the end of 2011, out of a total of around 27 million media copies, 10 million were archived in Frankfurt. (en)
- Die Deutsche Bibliothek in Frankfurt am Main (vor allem umgangssprachlich abgekürzt: DB) war eine Vorgängereinrichtung der Deutschen Nationalbibliothek (DNB). Sie war von 1947 bis 1990 das westdeutsche Pendant zu der 1912 gegründeten Deutschen Bücherei in Leipzig mit dem Auftrag, deutsches Schriftgut zu sammeln und die Nationalbibliografie herauszugeben. Nach der Wiedervereinigung Deutschlands wurden 1990 die Deutsche Bibliothek und die Deutsche Bücherei zu einer gemeinsamen Einrichtung unter der Benennung „Die Deutsche Bibliothek“ zusammengefasst. Seit 2006 lautet deren Bezeichnung „Deutsche Nationalbibliothek“; Frankfurt ist einer ihrer zwei (bis 2010 drei) Standorte. Er wird allerdings weiterhin als Deutsche Bibliothek bezeichnet. Im Jahr 2006 lagerten vom damaligen Gesamtbestand der Deutschen Nationalbibliothek von 22,2 Millionen Einheiten etwa 8,3 Millionen in Frankfurt am Main. Ende des Jahres 2011 waren von insgesamt rund 27 Millionen Medienexemplaren 10 Millionen in Frankfurt archiviert. (de)
- Deutsche Bibliothek (bahasa Jerman untuk "Perpustakaan Jerman") di Frankfurt am Main adalah salah satu dari tiga lokasi Perpustakaan Nasional Jerman ( atau (DDB)). Perpustakaan ini antara tahun 1946 dan 1990 adalah cabang Jerman barat Perpustakaan Nasional Jerman yang didirikan di Leipzig pada tahun 1913 dan disebut . Mulai tahun 1969 setiap buku yang terbit di Jerman diharuskan untuk menyerahkan dua eksemplar pada perpustakaan nasional sebagai bahan arsip. Semenjak pada tahun 1990, Deutsche Bibliothek menjadi salah satu cabang dari tiga cabang . Dua cabang lainnya adalah: Deutsche Bücherei di Leipzig dan di Berlin.
