Peek opuścił Americę krótko po wydaniu w Lutym 1977 albumu Harbor. Powrócił do wiary chrześcijańskiej po wielu latach nieszczęśliwej walki z uzależnieniem od narkotyków. Podpisał kontrakt z wydawnictwem Pat Boone's Lamb & Lion Records i odniósł spory sukces jako jeden z pierwszych artystów tworzących . Peek wydał autobiografię zatytułowaną An American Band, opowiadającą historię jego pracy w zespole America. Od 1990 Peek spowolnił swoją aktywność zawodową i sporadycznie tworzył muzykę w swoim domu na Kajmanach. Od tego czasu wydał kilka płyt solowych oraz współpracował z i nad trzy płytowym albumem .
