- Die DKMS gemeinnützige GmbH (ehemals Deutsche Knochenmarkspenderdatei) ist eine deutsche gemeinnützige Organisation mit Sitz in Tübingen. Haupttätigkeitsfeld ist die Registrierung von Stammzellspendern, mit dem Ziel, weltweit Blutkrebspatienten mit einer Stammzelltransplantation eine Heilung zu ermöglichen. Um die Heilungschancen der an Leukämie und anderen lebensbedrohlichen Erkrankungen des blutbildenden Systems Erkrankten zu verbessern, ist die DKMS auch als wissenschaftliche Forschungsorganisation im Bereich Blutkrebs und Stammzelltransplantationen aktiv. Unter dem Dach der DKMS Stiftung Leben Spenden arbeitet die DKMS gemeinnützige GmbH zusammen mit den Tochtergesellschaften DKMS LIFE gemeinnützige GmbH mit Sitz in Köln, DKMS Registry gGmbH in Tübingen, DKMS Life Science Lab gGmbH und der DKMS Stem Cell Bank gGmbH mit Sitz in Dresden. International ist die DKMS neben Deutschland mit Standorten in den USA, Polen, UK, Chile, Indien und Südafrika vertreten und arbeitet weltweit mit Stammzellspenderdateien und Registern zusammen, um gemeinsam die Situation für Patienten zu verbessern sowie diesen Zugang zu Therapien zu verschaffen.
