- Conceição ist eine portugiesische Gemeinde (Freguesia) im Kreis (Concelho) von Horta. In ihr leben 1138 Einwohner (Stand 30. Juni 2011). Conceição ist eine der drei Stadtgemeinden Hortas, zusammen mit Angústias und Matriz bildet sie das Stadtgebiet der Kreisstadt Hortas ab. Der Kreis Horta umfasst die gesamte Insel Faial. Die wichtigsten Sakralbauten der Stadt Horta liegen im unteren Teil der Gemeinde, ebenso der neue Terminal der Fähre zur Nachbarinsel Pico (mit Touristeninformation und großen Parkplatz), der Strand Praia da Conceição und das angrenzende Sport- und Freizeitgelände Parque da Alagoa. Im oberen, bereits ländlich geprägten Gemeindeteil liegt der bekannte Aussichtspunkt Miradouro de Nossa Senhora da Conceição mit der charakteristischen Mariensäule und dem weiten Ausblick auf die Bucht von Horta. - Conceição é uma freguesia portuguesa do município da Horta, na Ilha do Faial, Região Autónoma dos Açores. Ocupa uma superfície total de 2,74 km² com 1 138 habitantes (2011). Possui uma densidade populacional de 415,3 hab/km². A freguesia conta com 967 eleitores inscritos (Autárquicas 2005). Situada no extremo Norte da Baia da Horta junto à Lomba do Pilar (horst) que termina no Promontório da Ponta da Espalamaca, a freguesia se divide topograficamente em duas partes: a parte Alta, uma área rural a jusante da Ribeira do Vale dos Flamengos; e a parte Baixa, onde situa-se a sede de freguesia e parte do núcleo urbano da cidade.
