- Contract Freighters, Inc. which does business as CFI is an American truckload freight carrier based in Joplin, Missouri. Since 2016, the company has been a subsidiary of Canadian logistics company, TFI International. CFI provides point-to-point, full truckload, dry van service using single drivers as well as two-person driver teams over long-haul routes—most commonly with each trailer containing only one customer's goods. CFI was owned by Con-way, Inc. from 2007 to 2015 and known as Con-way Truckload. For a short period between 2015 and 2016 it was owned by XPO Logistics and known as XPO Logistics Truckload. After it was acquired by TFI, itself then known as TransForce, the company returned to its pre-2007 operations as a standalone truckload company under its original name, CFI. TFI is a publicly traded company operating across Canada and the US through various subsidiaries which operate independently.
