- Colegio San Bartolomé La Merced is a private Catholic bilingual and co-educational school located in Bogotá, Colombia. The school is affiliated with the Society of Jesus and is often known as "San Bartolo". The school campus, founded in 1941 by Jesuits, is located in the traditional neighborhood of "La Merced" in downtown Bogotá. The school is considered one of the most traditional and prestigious schools in the country. The education has been recognized for taking a humanistic and social approach. Since its foundation, the school has been ranked among the top high schools in the nation. - El Colegio San Bartolomé La Merced es un colegio ubicado en el barrio La Merced de Bogotá, Colombia. Inspirado en la espiritualidad Ignaciana, fue fundado en febrero de 1941. Es un colegio de carácter confesional, inscrito dentro del calendario B. Los estudiantes de este respetado colegio han sido aceptados en algunas de las universidades más prestigiosas a nivel nacional e internacional, en donde los alumnos continúan sus carreras en todo el mundo, luego perteneciendo a empresas internacionales o trabajando en puestos de responsabilidad en el estado de Colombia, otros son profesores, grandes investigadores y artistas cuyo talento han honrado a Colombia. Los terrenos de la finca "La Merced" en 1938 fueron cuna del equipo de fútbol Millonarios Fútbol Club. El Colegio forma parte de la Organización Uncoli (Unión de colegios internacionales), la cual es una organización de 25 colegios internacionales en Bogotá, afines de organizar actividades artísticas, culturales y deportivas. Los colegios pertenecientes a la Uncoli participan en forma activa en todas las actividades, ya sea en la organización de los torneos deportivos, como en los encuentros artísticos y culturales.
