- جراحة رأب قلنسوة البظر والتي يُطلق عليها أيضًا استئصال غطاء البظر هي عملية جراحية تجميلية يُقلّل فيها حجم ومساحة قلنسوة البظر (القلفة) من أجل إظهار نسبة أكبر من حشفة البظر. تُجرى هذه العملية أحيانًا بشكل اختياري حيث يكون الهدف العلاجي هنا هو تحسين الأداء الجنسي للمريضة وتحسين المظهر الجمالي للفرج. يعتبر رأب أنسجة القلفة البظرية إجراءً ثانويًا في جراحة تجميل رأب الشفرين الصغيرين، كما تُجرى أحيانًا ضمن جراحة المهبل التجميلية. أظهرت استطلاعات الرأي الخاصة بالسيدات اللاتي خضعن للعملية رضاهن عن نتائج هذه الجراحة. وبرغم ذلك نشرت الكلية الأمريكية لأطباء التوليد وأمراض النساء في عام 2007 رأيًا ينصح بعدم الترويج لكون هذه الجراحة آمنة تمامًا. - La reducció del prepuci del clítoris, és un procediment de cirurgia plàstica per reduir la mida i l'àrea del prepuci del clítoris per exposar encara més el gland del clítoris. De vegades es fa com una forma de cirurgia voluntària, on els objectius terapèutics són millorar el funcionament sexual de la pacient i el refinament estètic de la vulva. La reducció dels teixits del prepuci del clítoris sol ser una cirurgia subordinada dins d'un procediment de per reduir els llavis menors i, ocasionalment, en un procediment de vaginoplàstia. Les enquestes de les pacients han indicat satisfacció amb el resultat d'aquests procediments. No obstant això, el Col·legi Americà d'Obstretes i Ginecòlegs va publicar el 2007 la seva opinió en contra d'aquesta pràctica. (ca)

- Clitoral hood reduction, also termed clitoral hoodectomy, clitoral unhooding, clitoridotomy, or (partial) hoodectomy, is a plastic surgery procedure for reducing the size and the area of the clitoral hood (prepuce) in order to further expose the clitoral glans of the clitoris. It is usually performed as an elective cosmetic surgery meant to improve sexual satisfaction and to change the aesthetic appearance of the vulva. The reduction of the clitoral hood usually is done together with a labiaplasty that reduces the labia minora, and occasionally within a vaginoplasty. Though patient surveys have indicated satisfaction with the outcome of such procedures, the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists cautioned in 2007 that for this type of vaginal surgeries, which are not medically indicated, women should be informed about the lack of data on their efficacy and potential complications.
