- El Castre de Sanfins és un jaciment arqueològic de la cultura Castro situat a la freguesia portuguesa de Sanfins de Ferreira al municipi de Paços de Ferreira. i la part sud-oest a la d'Eiriz, ambdues al municipi de Paços de Ferreira, districte de Porto. - Die Citânia de Sanfins liegt etwa fünf Kilometer nördlich von Paços de Ferreira, und 30 km nordöstlich von Porto im Norden Portugals. Die 15 Hektar große Höhensiedlung der Castrokultur wurde von den Römern umgestaltet und bis ins Mittelalter genutzt, so dass insbesondere aus der vorrömischen Epoche wenig bauliche Substanz erhalten blieb. Sanfins gehört zu den seit 1944 archäologisch mehrfach untersuchten und restaurierten Plätzen des Landes, der zum Nationaldenkmal erklärt und in einen „archäologischen Park“ umgewandelt wurden. Diese eisenzeitliche Siedlung liegt im Land der . Es war vielleicht der Hauptort der keltischen (von nemeton, heiliger Platz) die mit den Inschriften des Kriegsgottes zu verbinden sind. (de)
- The Citância de Sanfins is an archaeological site of the Castro culture located in the Portuguese civil parish of in the municipality of Paços de Ferreira. The construction of the Castro site developed over many phases, between the 5th century BCE and the 2nd century CE. The Castro had a period of Roman occupation that started during the 3rd Century CE, being abandoned during the 4th Century CE. The site also includes a chapel dedicated to Saint Romanus (c. 14th Century) and 34 graves belonging to a Christian cemetery from the Medieval age (c. 13th Century CE). The Castro was first dug in 1895 by Francisco Martins Sarmento e José Leite de Vasconcelos and the last interventions were in 1995, when one of the houses was reconstructed and a warrior statue replica was put near the entrance of the second wall. - Citânia de Sanfins è un sito archeologico che si trova nel nord del Portogallo, a circa cinque chilometri a nord di Paços de Ferreira, e a 30 km a nordest di Porto e si estende per circa 15 ettari. Si tratta di un insediamento abitativo risalente alla Castrocultura, che fu ristrutturato dai romani e utilizzato fino al medioevo, cosicché poco materiale edilizio originario del periodo pre-romano è giunto fino a noi. Ricostruzioni a Sanfins Sanfins appartiene fino dal 1944 ai molteplici luoghi del Paese più volte archeologicamente visitati e restaurati, che è dichiarato Monumento nazionale e che è stato trasformato in un "parco archologico". Questo insediamento dell'età del ferro si trova nella terra dei Callaeci Bracari. Esso era forse il capoluogo del celtico Nemetati (da nemeton, luogo sacro) che è da collegarsi con le scritte epigrafiche del dio della guerra Cosus Nemedecus. (it)
