Christian Edwin McAlhaney is an American musician, and currently one of the two guitarists for the alternative rock band Anberlin. He replaced Nathan Strayer who left the band in early 2007, right before the release of the band's third album, Cities. Christian was formerly a guitarist for the band Acceptance until the members disbanded in 2005. He then started a new project, Thunder Thunder, with some of his former Acceptance bandmates. Due to McAlhaney's commitments with Anberlin, Thunder Thunder's status is currently unknown. In addition to playing guitar, he also supplies backing vocals for Anberlin when they play live and has also proven himself as a songwriter in the quintet.
