- Cambridge University Ice Hockey Club, též znám pod názvem Cambridge University Blues, je anglický univerzitní klub ledního hokeje, který sídlí ve městě Cambridge v nemetropolitním hrabství Cambridgeshire. Od sezóny 2004/05 působí v British Universities Ice Hockey Association, nejvyšší univerzitní soutěži ledního hokeje ve Spojeném království. Klubové barvy jsou světle modrá a bílá. Za tradiční rok založení je považován letopočet 1885. V tomto roce došlo ve Svatém Mořici k přátelskému utkání Cambridge s týmem Oxfordské univerzity. Tento zápas je mimo jiné Hokejovou síní slávy a Mezinárodní federací ledního hokeje považován za vůbec první odehraný zápas ledního hokeje na území evropského kontinentu. V roce 1900 došlo k dalšímu společnému měření sil, tentokráte na londýnským Princes Skating Club. Zde byl také poprvé použit termín Ice Hockey Varsity Match. V roce 2017 byl odehrán již 99. ročník Varsity Matche. Své domácí zápasy odehrává v Peterborough na tamějším Peterborough Ice Rink s kapacitou 1 500 diváků. (cs)
- Cambridge University Ice Hockey Club at the University of Cambridge, Cambridge, England, is one of the oldest ice hockey teams in the world. While the team claims a history dating back to 1885, the first strong evidence for their existence comes on 16 March 1900, when they played Oxford University Ice Hockey Club in the first Ice Hockey Varsity Match, at Princes Skating Club in London, losing 7–6. This match was played, on Oxford's insistence, with bandy sticks and a lacrosse ball. The Cambridge team was led by , who later played for . The following day, the two universities joined together to play Princes Ice Hockey Club. Cambridge played a second varsity match at Princes in 1901, this time winning 6–5. In 1903, they entered the first ice hockey league in Europe, but came last out of the five teams competing. The squad then switched to playing European tours, popularising the sport, and from 1909 to 1913 and 1920 onwards playing an annual varsity match. From 1932, these matches were played in England, and although no longer able to compete with the top professional sides, they were watched by over 10,000 supporters. In 1931, the club joined the English League, but when it finished in 1936 they did not follow most of the teams into the English National League, instead joining the lower-level in 1938. In 1948, they played a season in the , and in the 1970s they played two seasons in the Southern League. They then joined the Inter-City League and finally played in the inaugural season of the British Hockey League. Since then, they have contested an annual varsity match and compete in Division One of the British Universities Ice Hockey Association. Until 2019, when the Cambridge Ice Arena was completed, the team had to travel to Planet Ice Peterborough to train. This new full-size rink is the team's first permanent home, located adjacent to the Newmarket Road Park & Ride site. (en)

La squadra di Cambridge era guidata da , che più tardi giocò per la nazionale inglese. Il giorno seguente le due squadre si unirono nel Princes Ice Hockey Club. Cambridge giocò un secondo ‘'varsity match'’ al Princes nel 1901, vincendo 6-5. Nel 1903 fecero parte del primo campionato giocato in Europa, ma giunsero ultimi su cinque.. Per aumentare la popolarità di questo sport, la squadra intraprese tour sportive in Europa e nel 1909 - 13 e dal 1920 si disputarono varsity match con cadenza annuale. Dal 1932, con valori in campo ormai non più comparabili con quelli dei migliori professionisti, continuò comunque a richiamare 10.000 spettatori ogni anno. Nel 1931 la squadra aderì alla English League, ma al suo fallimento nel 1936, Cambridge non seguì le alter squadre, che erano confluite nella , aderendo invece alla più facile nel 1938. Nel 1948 giocarono una stagione nella , e negli anni '70 due campionati nella Southern League. Quindi aderirono alla Inter-City League per poi competere nella stagione inaugurale della British Hockey League. Da allora giocano l'annuale varsity match e nella Division One della . (it)
