- The Bundesvision Song Contest 2008 was the fourth edition of the annual Bundesvision Song Contest musical event. The contest was held on 14 February 2008 at the TUI Arena in Hanover, Lower Saxony, following Oomph! feat. Marta Jandová's win in the 2007 contest in Berlin with the song "Träumst du?". The show was hosted by Stefan Raab, Johanna Klum, and Elton in the green room. At the beginning of the contest, the Minister President of Lower Saxony Christian Wulff was welcomed into the arena and presented as a "patron" of the contest. The participants and their states were announced between 21 January and 13 February 2008 on TV total. The winner of the Bundesvision Song Contest 2008 was Subway to Sally with the song "Auf Kiel", representing Brandenburg. In second place was Clueso representing Thuringia, and third place to Down Below representing Saxony-Anhalt. Returning artists include: Clueso who participated for Thuringia for a second time after the 2005 contest. Peter Brugger returns as a member of Sportfreunde Stiller, having previously appeared in the band TipTop in 2006, both for Bavaria. Mamadee, who took part in 2005 with Gentleman, returns as part of the band Sisters, both for North Rhine-Westphalia. Favourites, established groups, and artists such as Sportfreunde Stiller, Laith Al-Deen, and Culcha Candela did not fare well compared to many newcomers to the contest. 15 of the 16 states awarded themselves the maximum of 12 points, with North Rhine-Westphalia awarding themselves 10 points. The contest was broadcast by ProSieben and watched by 1.58 million people (8% market share). In the 14-49 age range 1.31 million people watched the contest (15% market share). Since the first competition in 2005, the number of viewers has fallen continuously, but the market share has increased from 7.6% in 2007, to 8% in 2008. On 29 February 2008, 12 of the 16 songs placed in the top 100 of the German charts, with eight in the top 50. Clueso, and Das Bo's songs went straight to numbers 15 and 16 respectively. (en)

Januar bis zum 13. Februar 2008 in der Sendung TV total vorgestellt. Der Bundesvision Song Contest 2008 wurde von Stefan Raab und Johanna Klum moderiert. Im Green Room war Elton. Zu Beginn der Veranstaltung wurde der Ministerpräsident Niedersachsens Christian Wulff in der Arena begrüßt und als „Schirmherr“ des Wettbewerbs vorgestellt. Clueso trat nach 2005 bereits zum zweiten Mal für sein Heimatland Thüringen an. Peter Brugger, Sänger der Sportfreunde Stiller, vertrat Bayern nach seinem Auftritt mit TipTop 2006 ebenfalls zum zweiten Mal. Des Weiteren war Mamadee, welche 2005 bereits teilnahm, mit ihrer Gruppe Sisters erneut vertreten. Der Bundesvision Song Contest 2008 wurde von Subway to Sally gewonnen. Favoriten und etablierte Gruppen und Künstler wie die Sportfreunde Stiller, Laith Al-Deen oder momentan erfolgreiche Starter wie Culcha Candela erreichten gegenüber vielen Newcomern hintere Platzierungen. Dies war der bisher einzige Bundesvision Song Contest ohne eines der "alten" Bundesländer in den Top3. Die Show wurde von durchschnittlich 1,58 Millionen Zuschauern gesehen (8,0 % Marktanteil). In der Zielgruppe der 14- bis 49-Jährigen konnten 1,31 Millionen Zuschauer gemessen werden (15 % Marktanteil). Seit dem ersten Wettbewerb 2005 fielen die Zuschauerzahlen kontinuierlich, der Marktanteil konnte jedoch von 7,6 % im Vorjahr auf 8,0 % steigen. Am 29. Februar 2008 platzierten sich 12 der 16 teilnehmenden Titel in der Top 100 der deutschen Charts, 8 davon sogar in der TOP 50. Clueso und Das Bo stiegen direkt auf Platz 15 bzw. 16 ein. (de)

- La quarta edizione del Bundesvision Song Contest si è svolta il 14 febbraio 2008 presso la di Hannover, in Bassa Sassonia, in seguito alla vittoria dei Oomph! con Marta Jandová nell'edizione precedente. Il concorso si è articolato in un'unica finale condotta da Stefan Raab, Johanna Klum ed Elton (quest'ultimo come inviato nella green room). Inoltre il Primo ministro del länder Christian Wulff è stato invitato e presentato come il "patrono" della manifestazione. I vincitori furono i Subway to Sally per il Brandeburgo, con la canzone Auf Kiel. Anche in questa edizione, 15 dei 16 stati partecipanti si sono autoassegnati i 12 punti, solo la Renania Settentrionale-Vestfalia si è autoassegnata 10 punti. Lo show è stato trasmesso da ProSieben ed è stato visto da 1,58 milioni di persone con il 8% di share; nella fascia 14-49 anni i telespettatori sono stati 1,31 milioni con il 15% di share. (it)
