- Bob Peterson (born March 15, 1962) is an American politician serving as a Republican member of the Ohio Senate from the 17th District, where he currently serves as President Pro Tempore. From 2011 to 2012, he served as a member of the Ohio House of Representatives, representing the 85th district. Before being elected to the Ohio House of Representatives, he was Fayette County Commissioner for 14 years. He was first elected as a state representative in November 2010. Peterson was elected to a full-term to the Ohio Senate on November 6, 2012 and was sworn-in January, 2013. (en)
