Blake's 7 is a British science fiction television series made by the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) for their BBC 1 channel. Created by Terry Nation, a prolific television writer best known for creating the popular Dalek monsters for the television series Doctor Who, it ran for four series between 1978 and 1981. Popular from the time it was first broadcast, it remains well regarded on account of its dark tone, moral ambiguity and strong characterisation.

Insgesamt gibt es vier Staffeln mit jeweils 13 Folgen, die allesamt noch nicht im deutschen Fernsehen zu sehen waren. Die Titelfigur Blake wurde von Gareth Thomas gespielt. Mit seiner Mannschaft aus Gesetzlosen machte er das Universum unsicher, während die "Föderation" hinter ihnen her war. Deren Anführerin Servalan war eine starke und Furcht einflößende Frau, die ihren Verbündeten dauernd in den Rücken fiel. Im Gegensatz zu Serien wie etwa Doctor Who waren die weiblichen Protagonisten nicht nur da, um einen schönen Anblick zu bieten oder von männlichen Helden gerettet zu werden, sondern hatten jeweils Fähigkeiten, die sie in die Handlung einbrachten, z. B. Cally (Jan Chappell), die Psi-Fähigkeiten hatte, oder Jenna (Sally Knyvette), die ein guter Pilot war. (de)
