- Bioenergy Europe (früher bekannt als European Biomass Association, AEBIOM) ist ein europäischer Handelsverband, der nationalen Biomasseverbänden und in Europa tätigen Bioenergie-Unternehmen offen steht. Es wurde 1990 unter der Leitung des französischen Senators Michel Souplet mit dem Ziel gegründet, die Energieerzeugung aus Biomasse zu fördern – in all ihren Formen: , oder Biokraftstoffe für den Transport. Bioenergy Europe ist die Dachorganisation von (EPC) und von International Biomass Torrefaction Council (IBTC). Bioenergy Europe besitzt zwei internationale Zertifizierungen für Holzbrennstoffe: ENplus zur Zertifizierung der Qualität von Holzpellets und GoodChips zur Gewährleistung der Qualität von Hackschnitzeln und Schweinebrennstoffen. It was founded in 1990 under the leadership of French senator Michel Souplet with the aim to promote energy generation from biomass in all its forms: biopower, bioheat, or biofuels for transport.Bioenergy Europe is the umbrella organisation of the European Pellet Council (EPC), and the International Biomass Torrefaction Council (IBTC). Bioenergy Europe owns two international certifications for wood fuels. ENplus, certifying wood pellets quality and GoodChips, aiming at guaranteeing wood chips and hog fuel quality. (en)
