- Biljana Srbljanović (Serbian Cyrillic: Биљана Србљановић, pronounced [bǐʎana sr̩bʎǎːnoʋitɕ]; born 15 October 1970) is a Serbian playwright and university professor. She has written eleven theater plays and screenplay for Otvorena vrata television series that aired on Radio Television of Serbia during the mid-1990s. Her plays have been staged in some 50 countries. Srbljanović is also a part-time lecturer at the University of Arts' Faculty of Dramatic Arts (FDU) in Belgrade. On 1 December 1999, she became the first non-German writer to receive the . She is the recipient of various theatre awards in Serbia, including the , , , Joakim Vujić Statuette, and . Furthermore, she received the 2003 , an annual accolade given out by the Serbian Civic Alliance (GSS) political party to women for "contributions in promotion of human rights, democracy, and tolerance in political communication". Après des études à l'Académie des arts dramatiques de Belgrade, elle se lance dans l'écriture et compose sa Trilogie de Belgrade qui lui vaut un immense succès européen. Oscillant entre comédie et drame, son œuvre, vive et teintée d'humour noir a été primée à de nombreuses reprises. Ses pièces sont jouées partout en Europe et aux États-Unis. Pendant la guerre du Kosovo, lors des bombardements sur la Serbie, elle a livré un billet de Belgrade pendant trois semaines au quotidien italien La Repubblica. W swoich sztukach ukazuje podłoże konfliktów etnicznych na Bałkanach, który miał miejsce pod koniec XX wieku. Jej twórczość zyskała znaczną popularność, a jej dramaty zostały wystawione w ponad 50 krajach. W 1995 roku ukończyła studia na wydziale dramatycznym Szkoły Teatralnej w Belgradzie i obecnie jest także wykładowcą tej uczelni. Mieszka i tworzy zarówno w Paryżu (wyszła za mąż za byłego ambasadora Francji w Belgradzie Gabriela Kellera), jak i Belgradzie. W 2009 Biljana Srbljanović była gościem Międzynarodowego Festiwalu Teatralnego „Demoludy” w Olsztynie. Od 2007 była związana z Partią Liberalno-Demokratyczną, zasiadając w Radzie Politycznej partii.
