- La Bibliotheca Teubneriana, o les edicions Teubner de textos grecs i llatins, és la col·lecció moderna més minuciosa mai publicada de literatura grecoromana antiga (i de part de la medieval). La col·lecció, el nom complet de la qual és Bibliotheca Scriptorum Graecorum et Romanorum Teubneriana, consisteix en edicions crítiques a càrrec de destacats acadèmics (actualment sempre amb un complet aparell crític en cada pàgina, tot i que durant el segle xix algunes editiones minores van ésser publicades ja fos sense aparells crítics, ja fos amb apèndixs textuals abreujats). Teubneriana és una abreviatura utilitzada per denotar principalment un volum sol de la col·lecció (de forma completa: editio Teubneriana), i rarament la col·lecció sencera. Avui, les úniques empreses editorials comparables, que faciliten edicions de referència d'autoritat acadèmica de nombrosos autors antics, són l' i la (els volums de la qual també inclouen la traducció francesa en pàgines acarades, amb notes). Als Teubneriana bezeichnet man meistens eine einzelne Textausgabe (vollständig: editio Teubneriana), seltener auch die ganze Sammlung; ebenso verfährt man mit dem Begriff Oxoniensis in Bezug auf die konkurrierende Reihe der Scriptorum Classicorum Bibliotheca Oxoniensis, besser bekannt als Oxford Classical Texts. The series consists of critical editions by leading scholars. They now always come with a full critical apparatus on each page, although during the nineteenth century there were editiones minores, published either without critical apparatuses or with abbreviated textual appendices, and editiones maiores, published with a full apparatus. Teubneriana is an abbreviation used to denote mainly a single volume of the series (fully: editio Teubneriana), rarely the whole collection; correspondingly, Oxoniensis is used with reference to the Scriptorum Classicorum Bibliotheca Oxoniensis, mentioned above as Oxford Classical Texts. The only comparable publishing ventures producing authoritative scholarly reference editions of numerous ancient authors, are the Oxford Classical Texts and the Collection Budé (whose volumes also include facing-page French translations with notes; the Loeb Classical Library, with facing-page English translations and notes, aims at a more general audience).
