- Austropuccinia psidii, commonly known as myrtle rust, guava rust, or ʻōhiʻa rust; is a rust (a type of plant pathogen) native to South America that affects plants in the family Myrtaceae. It is a member of the fungal complex called the guava rust (Puccinia psidii) group. The spores have a distinctive yellow to orange colour, occasionally encircled by a purple ring. They are found on lesions on new growth including shoots, leaves, buds and fruits. Leaves become twisted and may die. Infections in highly susceptible species may result in the death of the host plant. As of late 2013, it is infecting around 179 species in New South Wales and Queensland, from 41 genera (around 46% of genera in the Myrtaceae) in Australia. (en)
- Is brúth plandaí é Austropuccinia psidii, ar a dtugtar brúth miortail, brúth guábha, nó brúth ʻōhiʻa, atá dúchasach do Mheiriceá Theas agus a théann i bhfeidhm ar phlandaí san fhine Myrtaceae. Tá sé ina bhall den choimpléasc fungasach ar a dtugtar an brúth guábha. Bíonn dath sainiúil buí go flannbhuí ar na spóir, agus iad timpeallaithe ag fáinne corcra uaireanta. Faightear iad ar loit ar fhás nua lena n-áirítear buinneoga, duilleoga, bachlóga agus torthaí. Éiríonn na duilleoga lúbtha agus féadfaidh siad bás a fháil. D'fhéadfadh bás an phlanda óstaigh a bheith mar thoradh ar ionfhabhtuithe i speicis atá thar a bheith so-ghabhálach. Ag deireadh na bliana 2013, tá thart ar 179 speiceas ionfhabhtaithe aige i New South Wales agus Queensland, ó 41 géine (thart ar 46% de na géinis sna Myrtaceae) san Astráil. (ga)
