Arnold Schulman (born August 11, 1925) is an American screenwriter and producer. Schulman was born in in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and attended the University of North Carolina, and was a stage actor long associated with the American Theatre Wing and the Actors Studio. He was also a playwright for the stage and television, a songwriter and novelist. Schulman also took writing courses at the University of North Carolina, served with the Navy, and in 1946 came to New York City, where he began to write in earnest. He studied playwriting with Robert Anderson, the author of Tea & Sympathy, in classes at New York's American Theatre Wing. However, he is best known for his contributions as a screenwriter and producer.
