- Arena is a discrete event simulation and automation software developed by Systems Modeling and acquired by Rockwell Automation in 2000. It uses the SIMAN processor and simulation language. As of 2020, it is in version 16. It has been suggested that Arena may join other Rockwell software packages under the "FactoryTalk" brand. In Arena, the user builds an experiment model by placing modules (boxes of different shapes) that represent processes or logic. Connector lines are used to join these modules together and to specify the flow of entities. While modules have specific actions relative to entities, flow, and timing, the precise representation of each module and entity relative to real-life objects is subject to the modeler. Statistical data, such as cycle time and WIP (work in process) levels, can be recorded and made output as reports. Arena can be integrated with Microsoft technologies. It includes Visual Basic for Applications so models can be further automated if specific algorithms are needed. It also supports importing Microsoft Visio flowcharts, as well as reading from or sending output to Excel spreadsheets and Access databases. Hosting ActiveX controls is also supported. (en)

- Arena Simulation – oprogramowanie służące do symulacji zdarzeń dyskretnych wyprodukowane przez Rockwell Automation. Do symulacji wykorzystuje język SIMAN. Obecna wersja oprogramowania to wydana w roku 2019 wersja 16.0. W Arenie użytkownik buduje model, umieszczając moduły (pola o różnych kształtach), które reprezentują procesy lub logikę. Linie łączące służą do łączenia tych modułów między sobą i określania kierunku przepływu bytów. Podczas gdy moduły mają określone działania w stosunku do bytów, przepływu i czasu, dokładna reprezentacja każdego modułu i bytów względem rzeczywistych obiektów jest zadaniem osoby tworzącej model. Não é necessário escrever nenhuma linha de código no software ARENA, pois todo o processo de criação do modelo de simulação é gráfico e visual, e de maneira integrada, porém há a possibilidade de escrita de código como alternativa ao modo gráfico. Entre as diversas bibliotecas do programa, existem as bibliotecas "Blocks" e "Elements" que trabalham em conjunto. Cada bloco da biblioteca "Blocks" tem uma função específica (criar e destruir entidades, regras de gestão, mudança de valor de variáveis, simulação de tempo, etc) e estes blocos geralmente têm alguma entidade ou variável associadas que são definidos pela biblioteca "Elements". Após o término da simulação, Arena envia um relário ao usuário com os resultados que ele deseja visualizar. O software Arena permite a modelagem e simulação de diversos processos. Ele é muito utilizado para a análise de filas, de linhas de produção e também de processos industriais contínuos. Como qualquer software de simulação, ele permite prever o comportamento de algo que não existe no mundo real. Por exemplo, se uma indústria pretende fazer alguma mudança, a utilização do software Arena para modelar e simular a nova situação permite prever o comportamento futuro da usina, permitindo à validação ou mudança do projeto de modificação da indústria.
