Arena are a British neo-progressive rock band founded in 1995 by Clive Nolan and Mick Pointer. Most of the band's lyrics are written by Nolan, though Pointer contributed lyrics to Sirens and other tracks on the first two albums. Musically the band's style ranges from symphonic to hard rock. Some of the band's recent albums have a similar sound to Nolan's earlier band, Shadowland.

Il genere degli Arena inizia ad oscillare tra il neoprogressive delle origini ad una musica più sinfonica fino a sfociare nel progressive metal; senza rinnegare completamente il sound delle orgini, ora nei dischi compaiono brani melodici e d'atmosfera alla Pink Floyd, come canzoni più dure e sinfoniche nello stile dei Savatage, ma senza risultarne dei semplici imitatori.
