- Leiopelma Archeyova (Leiopelma archeyi) je nejmenší prehistorická žába pocházejících z Nového Zélandu. Tato žába, která při líhnutí potomků nepotřebuje vodu a přeskakuje stadium pulce, je novozélandský endemit a jedním z celosvětově nejvíce ohrožených obojživelníků. Bývá popisována jako „živá fosilie“, je téměř k nerozeznání od zkamenělých pozůstatků žab, které žily před 150 miliony let. Celková velikost populace leiopelmy Archeyovy byla v roce 2013 odhadnuta na 5 až 20 tisíc jedinců a její další trend je považován za stabilní. Druhové jméno archeyi dostala po významném novozélandském biologovi Gilbertu Archeym (1890–1974). (cs)

- Archey's frog, Leiopelma archeyi, is an archaic species of frog endemic to the North Island of New Zealand. It is one of only three extant species belonging to the taxonomic family Leiopelmatidae. It is named after Sir Gilbert Archey, the former director of the Auckland Institute. The holotype is held at the Auckland War Memorial Museum. It is found only in the Coromandel Peninsula and near Te Kuiti in the North Island of New Zealand. This species, along with others in the family, have changed little over the past 200 million years, thus they represent "living fossils". (en)
