- الاشراف على مضادات الميكروبات هو جهد ممنهج لتعليم واقناع واصفين العلاج على مضادات الميكروبات باتباع دليل قائم على وصفة علاجية من اجل القضاء على سوء اسستخدام المضادات الحيوية وبالتالي مقاومة مضادات الميكروبات.كانت AMS جهدا منظما من المتخصصين في الامراض المعدية في كل من الطب الباطني وطب الأطفال مع المنظمات النظيرة الخاصة بهم وصيادلة المستشفيات ومجتمع الصحة العامة ومظماتهم المهنية منذ اواخر التسعينيات.تم تنفيذه أول مرة في المستشفيات في الولايات المتحدة ضمن سياق حرية وصفة الاطباء العلاجية (اختيار الادوية العلاجية الموصوفة).كانت AMS التنظيم الذاتي الطوعي إلى حد كبير في شكل سياسات ومناشدات الالتزام بالانضباط الذاتي في الوصف العلاجي.في المستشفيات، قد ياخذ هذا الشكل برنامج الاشراف على مضادات الميكروبات.اعتبارا من 2019 جعلت كاليفورنيا وميسوري برامج AMS الزامية بموجب القانون. - Antimicrobial stewardship is the systematic effort to educate and persuade prescribers of antimicrobials to follow evidence-based prescribing, in order to stem antimicrobial overuse, and thus antimicrobial resistance. AMS has been an organized effort of specialists in infectious diseases, both in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics with their respective peer-organizations, hospital pharmacists, the public health community and their professional organizations since the late 1990s. It has first been implemented in hospitals. In the U.S., within the context of physicians' prescribing freedom (choice of prescription drugs), AMS had largely been voluntary self-regulation in the form of policies and appeals to adhere to a prescribing self-discipline until 2017, when the Joint Commission prescribed that hospitals should have an Antimicrobial Stewardship team, which was expanded to the outpatient setting in 2020. As of 2019, California and Missouri had made AMS programs mandatory by law. (en)
- Antibiotic Stewardship (ABS) beschreibt ein breit angelegtes Konzept zum verantwortungsvollen, zielgerichteten Einsatz von Antibiotika bei Infektionskrankheiten. Die Deutsche Gesellschaft für Infektiologie (DGI) beschreibt ABS als „ein programmatisches, nachhaltiges Bemühen einer medizinischen Institution um Verbesserung und Sicherstellung einer rationalen Antiinfektivaverordnungspraxis ... Maßnahmen, die die Qualität der Antiinfektivabehandlung bezüglich Auswahl, Dosierung, Applikation und Anwendungsdauer sichern, um das beste klinische Behandlungsergebnis unter Beachtung einer minimalen Toxizität für den Patienten zu erreichen.“ Aufgrund der unterschiedlichen Gesundheitssysteme ist ABS zum Teil von nationalen oder regionalen Gegebenheiten abhängig. - L’antibiogouvernance ou gouvernance relative aux antibiotiques est un ensemble de pratiques qui visent à se doter des moyens pour lutter contre l’antibiorésistance ou résistance aux antibiotiques. Les modifications des pratiques en usage concernent aussi bien le secteur bioalimentaire que les milieux hospitaliers et vétérinaires. Elle s'appuie sur le constat "...que 30 % à 50 % des prescriptions d’antibiotiques sont inappropriées, et ce, particulièrement lors d’infections respiratoires virales comme le rhume ou la grippe," favorisant ainsi le développement de certaines souches de bactéries résistantes et annulant par le fait même leur efficacité.
