- Η Κοιλάδα του Αμαρίου είναι εύφορη κοιλάδα στους πρόποδες του Ψηλορείτη και του Όρους Κέντρος στην Κρήτη. The valley was known as a center of resistance to the Germans during the Battle of Crete and the German occupation. - Amári (em grego: Αμάρι) é um vale fértil no sopé dos montes Ida e Cédros em Creta. Localizado a 600 m acima do nível do mar, é caracterizado pela produção agrícola de oliveiras, videiras e cerejeiras, assim como outros produtos agrícolas como milho, repolho, alface, etc. Tremoceiros, narcisos e gladíolos, orquídeas cretenses e flores do gênero geranium são comuns no vale. As vilas locais são, no geral, pequenas e estão localizadas no sopé dos montes circundantes. (pt)
