p:abstract
  • Along the Red Ledge is a 1978 album by Hall & Oates. This album foreshadowed what was to come in a few years for the duo, as the duo shed previous producer Christopher Bond and went with a more polished sound with David Foster. The album is the first studio album where Hall and Oates used their road band in the studio (previously they would rely heavily on session musicians), a trend they would carry through their heyday of the early 1980s. "It's a Laugh" has made a resurgence in the duo's live performances over the last several years. George Harrison, of The Beatles, plays guitar on the track "The Last Time." Todd Rundgren also plays on this album, as does Rick Nielsen of Cheap Trick. (en)
