- تعد قناة الجزيرة الوثائقية والتي تتبع لقناة الجزيرة الإخبارية المشهورة ذات طابع خاص حيث أنها من القنوات الأوائل في مجالها الثقافي، انشئت وانطلقت في 1 يناير 2007، وأطلق الموقع الإلكتروني الخاص بها بعد عامين في 1 يناير 2009. تبث العديد من المواضيع الوثائقية بشكل منوع حيث أن الجزيرة تمتلك واحدة من أكبر المكتبات الوثاثقية المرئية على مستوى العالم، وبالتالي كان إصدار القناة التي لاقت إقبالاً كبيراً لأسباب عديدة منها شهرة قناة الجزيرة واللغة العربية المستخدمة والمواعيد الدقيقة (حيث كل برنامج له ساعة واحدة) إضافةً إلى التنوع في البث للبرامج. - Al Jazeera Documentary Channel (Arabic: الجزيرة الوثائقية) is a pan-Arab satellite Arabic language film and documentary channel and a branch of the Al Jazeera Media Network based in Doha, Qatar. It was launched at 12:00 GMT on 1 January 2007. It aims to provide viewers an immense amount of high quality documentary films. These films cover and analyze a breadth of topics including historical, scientific, political, artistic, and travel issues. The channel produces 15% of broadcast material in-house, while obtaining the rest from Arab and global producers. It also produces documentaries for flagship Al Jazeera and participates in commissioning and/or producing documentaries for other Al Jazeera channels like Al Jazeera English under the Al Jazeera World documentary-strand. The channel is housed in a separate building on the Al Jazeera Media Network block of Qatar Radio and Television Corporation complex in Wadi Al Sail West within Doha, Qatar. The channel was the first of its kind in the Arabic-speaking world. As the Al Jazeera Documentary Arabic-speaking, they pay attention primarily to Arab viewers wherever they are, and seek through the production of documentaries and various activities which serve recreational closely linked to human values and cultural respects the viewer, and abide by the Charter of the press. The channel is said to focus in four areas Informatics, Awareness, Technical and Interestingness. Informatics: To provide new information to viewers in the areas under discussion in the movies. Awareness: To contribute to the development of cultural awareness and cultural scenes and contributing to install his own identity stemming from the culture and heritage.Cultural awareness raising and the other revolves around the public from the worlds of ideas and policies, religions and developments in this fast-moving world. Technical: The drafting of technical and quality required in the global offering of movies to respect the visual and aesthetic taste of the viewer, and also to respect the technical standards of the nature of this kind of art documentary. Interestingness: Raising the level of product supply to in the case as a movie follow-up is the case for each of the fun watching documentaries.
