Mit ihm zusammen entsteht Als erster No.1-Hit 'Tired Of Being Alone’. Das Album “Al Green Gets Next To You” erreicht Goldstatus. Das folgende Album “Let´s Stay Together” von 1972 wird ebenfalls ein riesiger Erfolg. Der Titelsong erreicht die Top 10.
