Aeroflot Flight 593 was an accident on March 23 1994 in which a "Russian Airlines" Airbus A310-304 passenger airliner, registration F-OGQS, operating on behalf of Aeroflot, crashed into a hillside in Siberia. All 75 passengers and crew were killed. The cockpit voice recorder revealed that the pilot's 15-year-old son, Eldar Kudrinsky, was initially at the controls when the incident began, and that he had unknowingly activated an automatic feature of the A310's autopilot; the pilots were not aware of the feature and there was no alarm that would have alerted the pilots to the partial disconnection of the autopilot.

  • Der Aeroflot-Flug 593 war ein Linienflug der Aeroflot zwischen dem Flughafen Moskau-Scheremetjewo und dem Hongkonger Flughafen Kai Tak. Am 23. März 1994 wurde diese Route von einem Airbus A310-304 mit der Registrierung F-OGQS geflogen. Die Maschine stürzte in eine Hügellandschaft in Sibirien, nahe Meschduretschensk, wobei alle 75 Menschen an Bord starben. Die Aufzeichnungen des Stimmenrecorders zeigten, dass zum Zeitpunkt des Unglücks Eldar Kudrinski, der 15-jährige Sohn des Piloten, am Steuer war. Nach der Auswertung des Flugschreibers fanden die Ermittler heraus, dass das Flugzeug, das bis dahin normal geflogen war, sich plötzlich nach rechts neigte, dann zuerst schnell an Höhe gewann, um danach in Richtung Boden zu stürzen. Der Grund war, dass Eldar Kudrinski, der Sohn des Piloten, unwissentlich eine Funktion des Autopiloten des A310 aktiviert hatte, die sogar den meisten Piloten damals unbekannt war. (de)
