This is a list of the administrative and municipal divisions of Moscow Oblast, a federal subject of Russia. Moscow Oblast is located in the Central Federal District of Russia, and surrounds Moscow, the capital of Russia. While Moscow hosts the majority of the government bodies of the oblast, it does not officially serve as the oblast's administrative center and is not otherwise associated with the oblast either administratively or municipally.

  • Die Oblast Moskau im Föderationskreis Zentralrussland der Russischen Föderation gliedert sich in 36 Rajons und 36 Stadtkreise (Stand 2014). Der Verwaltungssitz befindet sich in der russischen Hauptstadt Moskau, die selbst nicht zur Oblast gehört, sondern ein eigenständiges Föderationssubjekt bildet, das außer im Südwesten von der Oblast umgeben ist. Fünf der Stadtkreise werden von geschlossenen Städten und Siedlungen (SATO) gebildet. Die Rajons unterteilen sich in insgesamt 114 Stadtgemeinden (gorodskoje posselenije) und 193 Landgemeinden (selskoje posselenije). Zur letzten größeren Veränderung kam es, als am 1. Juli 2012 die Stadtkreise Schtscherbinka und Troizk sowie insgesamt 3 Stadt- und 15 Landgemeinden der Rajons Leninski, Naro-Fominski und Podolski, außerdem kleinere Territorien der Rajons Krasnogorski und Odinzowski an das Föderationssubjekt Stadt föderaler Bedeutung Moskau abgegeben wurden. Die Fläche der Oblast verringerte sind dadurch um etwa 1.480 km², entsprechend 3,2 %, und die Einwohnerzahl sank um etwa 235.000, entsprechend 3,3 %. (de)

While the administrative and municipal divisions are not required by law to be identical, the system of municipal divisions in Moscow Oblast, having been created on the basis of existing administrative divisions, has only minor differences from the system of administrative divisions. La division administrative correspond au fonctionnement de l’État (au niveau fédéral ainsi qu’au niveau de l’oblast), tandis que la division municipale correspond au système d’autogestion locale.   • Административно-территориальное устройство Московской области, осуществляемое для выполнения функций государственного управления, регулируется законом Московской области № 11/2013-ОЗ «Об административно-территориальном устройстве Московской области». Населённые пункты, административно подчинённые каждой из административно-территориальных единиц, перечислены в Постановлении губернатора Московской области № 329-ПГ «Об учётных данных административно-территориальных и территориальных единиц Московской области». Административно-территориальными единицами Московской области являются города областного подчинения (с административной территорией и без административной территории), пгт областного подчинения и закрытые административно-территориальные образования. Муниципальное устройство Московской области, осуществляемое для реализации местного самоуправления, регулируется законами Московской области о статусе и границах каждого муниципального образования. Все муниципальные образования Московской области совпадают по своим границам с административно-территориальными единицами и являются городскими округами. Исторические данные по количеству муниципальных образований по состоянию на начало каждого календарного года публикуются на сайте государственного комитета по статистике России. В связи с появлением нового типа муниципального образования муниципальный округ часть городских округов, которые не соответствует новым требованиям по статусу, подлежит преобразованию до 2025 года в муниципальные округа, в числе возможных муниципальных образований называются Лотошинский, Рузский и Шаховской городские округа.
