  • Le 35e régiment d'artillerie parachutisteest basé dans le quartier de La Gespe, secteur de la Courte Boule, à Tarbes (canton de Tarbes 3), dans le département des Hautes-Pyrénées, en région Occitanie. La caserne qui regroupe les principales infrastructures régimentaires porte le nom de "Quartier Soult". Il est l'héritier du 35e régiment d'artillerie (35e RA) créé à Vannes le 7 octobre 1873, régiment commandé par le colonel Foch de 1903 à 1905. Aujourd'hui le 35e RAP est l'unique régiment d'artillerie parachutiste de l'armée française. Sa devise est : « Droit Devant ». Régiment d’appui de la 11e brigade parachutiste (11e BP), il arme l’échelon national d’urgence des troupes aéroportées (ENU TAP), constamment en alerte à 12h et 48h (contrat opérationnel) au sein de la Force de réaction rapide, encore appelée "Guépard" (QRF TAP : Quick reaction force). Le régiment est porteur de nombreuses traditions militaires parachutistes, qu'elles soient mémorielles, sportives, artistiques ou festives. Deux d'entre elles sont essentielles : le chant et la musique. Elles sont illustrées, la première par « Le chant du 35e RAP/Droit Devant » et la seconde par « La marche régimentaire du 35e RAP ».
