The 2022 Major League Baseball Home Run Derby was a home run hitting contest between eight batters from Major League Baseball (MLB). The derby was held on July 18, 2022, at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, CA, the site of the 2022 MLB All-Star Game. The longest home run, among the total 291 hit by the eight players involved, covered a distance of 482 ft (146.91 m), and was hit by eventual champion Juan Soto in Round 1. With his victory, Soto, at 23 years and 266 days old, became the second youngest player to ever win the derby, one day older than Juan González when he won in 1993.
