- The 2021 Gran Premio d'Italia was the third event in the 2021–22 ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating, a senior-level international invitational competition series. It was held at the Torino Palavela in Turin on November 5–7. It was the replacement event for Cup of China. Medals were awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, women's singles, pairs, and ice dance. Skaters earned points toward qualifying for the 2021–22 Grand Prix Final. On August 27, 2021, the International Skating Union announced that the Gran Premio d'Italia would replace Cup of China, which was cancelled on August 16 due to travel restrictions and quarantine requirements related to the COVID-19 pandemic. In an attempt to preserve the Grand Prix series, the ISU asked for other ISU members to apply as hosts on the originally scheduled dates. In addition to the successful bid from the Federazione Italiana Sport del Ghiaccio (Turin), the ISU received applications from the Hungarian Skating Federation (Debrecen) and U.S. Figure Skating (Norwood, Massachusetts). At the time of Cup of China's cancellation, the Figure Skating Federation of Russia expressed confidence in the ISU's ability to find a replacement, but declined to bid itself. The last time the event was cancelled, in 2018, Cup of China was replaced by the Grand Prix of Helsinki. (en)
- Le Grand-Prix d'Italie 2021 (2021 Grand Prix of Italy en anglais ; Gran Premio d'Italia 2021 en italien) est une compétition internationale de patinage artistique qui accueille des patineurs amateurs de niveau senior dans quatre catégories: simple messieurs, simple dames, couple artistique et danse sur glace. Le Grand-Prix est organisé du 5 au 7 novembre 2021 à la Palavela de Turin en Italie. Il est la troisième compétition du Grand Prix ISU senior de la saison 2021/2022. Le 27 août 2021, l'Union internationale de patinage annonce que le Grand-Prix d'Italie remplace la Coupe de Chine pour l'édition 2021, qui a été annulée le 16 août en raison de restrictions de voyage et d'exigences de quarantaine liées à la Pandémie de Covid-19. La dernière fois que la coupe de Chine a été annulée, c'était en 2018, et celle-ci avait été remplacée par le Grand-Prix d'Helsinki. Dans une tentative de préserver la série des Grand-Prix, l'Union internationale de patinage demande à d'autres fédérations de postuler en tant qu'hôtes aux dates initialement prévues. Zawody odbędą się od 5 do 7 listopada 2021 roku w hali Palavela w Turynie. 27 sierpnia 2021 roku Międzynarodowa Unia Łyżwiarska ogłosiła, że Gran Premio d’Italia zastąpi zawody Cup of China 2021, które zostały odwołane 16 sierpnia 2021 roku z powodu ograniczeń w lotnictwie międzynarodowym do Chin oraz działań prewencyjnych mających na celu ograniczenie rozprzestrzeniania się wirusa SARS-CoV-2 w tym kraju. Międzynarodowa Unia Łyżwiarska, próbując zachować formę serii Grand Prix, poprosiła swoich członków o zgłoszenie się tych federacji, które byłyby zainteresowane organizacją zawodów z zachowaniem ich oryginalnego terminu. Oprócz zwycięskiej oferty Włoskiej Federacji Sportów Lodowych (Turyn), ISU otrzymała również zgłoszenia od Węgierskiej Federacji Łyżwiarskiej (Debreczyn) i U.S. Figure Skating (Norwood). (pl)
