Vier Mannschaften verließen die Liga vor Saisonbeginn und traten in der Serie B an, so dass sich das Teilnehmerfeld der Serie A auf acht Mannschaften reduzierte. - La Serie A di hockey su ghiaccio 2015-2016, l'82º campionato italiano della massima serie, è stata organizzata dalla Federazione Italiana Sport del Ghiaccio e dalla (nel mese di dicembre sostituita dalla rinata LIHG). Nel corso dell'estate del 2015 furono apportate alcune modifiche al regolamento del campionato, ritornato dopo una sola stagione da dodici a otto squadre partecipanti. La stagione si è conclusa con il Ritten Sport vincitore del suo secondo scudetto. (it)

Obrońcą tytułu była drużyna Asiago Hockey. Nowym mistrzem został zespół Ritten Sport zdobywając drugi tytuł mistrza Włoch w historii. (pl)
