- The 2012 Rallye de France – Alsace was the eleventh round of the 2012 World Rally Championship season. The rally took place over 4–7 October, and was based in Strasbourg, the capital city of the Alsace region of France. The rally was also the seventh round of the Super 2000 World Rally Championship, and the fifth round of the WRC Academy. Victor Sébastien Loeb retained his driver champion title in this rally, and the third place of his teammate Mikko Hirvonen allowed Citroën to retain the manufacturer title as well, making this rally a repeat of the 2010 event. - El Rally de Alsacia de 2012, oficialmente 3º Rallye de France - Alsace, fue la tercera edición y la décimo primera ronda de la temporada 2012 del Campeonato Mundial de Rally. Se celebró en los alrededores de Estrasburgo entre el 4 y el 7 de octubre y fue además la séptima ronda del campeonato Super 2000 y la quinta ronda de la Academia WRC. Contó con un itinerario de veintidós tramos sobre asfalto que sumaban un total de 404.90 km cronometrados. La lista de inscritos estaba compuesta por setenta y cuatro pilotos, entre los cuales se encuentran los asiduos del campeonato del mundo y varios pilotos más habituales de otras categorías automovilísticas como el francés Yvan Muller, piloto campeón del mundo de turismos que disputará por tercera vez la prueba; el suizo , piloto de monoplazas y primo del expiloto de Fórmula 1 Jean Alesi, y el francés Romain Dumas, piloto de las 24 Horas de Le Mans. El francés Sébastien Loeb, líder del campeonato del mundo con 219 puntos y una ventaja de 61 sobre el segundo clasificado, su compañero de equipo Mikko Hirvonen y a falta de tres pruebas para finalizar la temporada, llegó con muchas opciones de lograr su noveno título. Finalizando por delante de su compañero o incluso por detrás del mismo, pero sin que este ganara el rally ni el Powerstage, se proclamaría campeón matemáticamente. Otras opciones pasarían por que Hirvonen no finalizara entre los ocho primeros. El vencedor fue, al igual que en 2010, Sébastien Loeb que logró su segunda victoria en la prueba, la número setenta y cinco de su carrera y además obtuvo de forma matemática su noveno título del mundo. Segundo fue el piloto de Ford, Jari-Matti Latvala y tercero Mikko Hirvonen. Los dos puestos del equipo Citroën le aseguraron el campeonato de marcas. Craig Breen venció en la categoría SWRC, su tercera victoria del año y se situó líder del certamen. En la Academia WRC el inglés Elfyn Evans se llevó la victoria y el campeonato. (es)
