- The 2011–12 UCI America Tour was the eighth season for the UCI America Tour. The season began on 2 October 2011 with the Tobago Cycling Classic and ended on 15 September 2012 with the Univest Grand Prix. The points leader, based on the cumulative results of previous races, wears the UCI America Tour cycling jersey. Miguel Ubeto from Venezuela was the defending champion of the 2010–11 UCI America Tour. Rory Sutherland from Australia was crowned as the 2011–12 UCI America Tour champion. Throughout the season, points are awarded to the top finishers of stages within stage races and the final general classification standings of each of the stages races and one-day events. The quality and complexity of a race also determines how many points are awarded to the top finishers, the higher the UCI rating of a race, the more points are awarded. The UCI ratings from highest to lowest are as follows:
* Multi-day events: 2.HC, 2.1 and 2.2
* One-day events: 1.HC, 1.1 and 1.2 (en)
- Die UCI America Tour ist der vom Weltradsportverband UCI zur Saison 2005 eingeführte amerikanische Straßenradsport-Kalender unterhalb der UCI ProTour (seit 2011: UCI WorldTour) und gehört zu den UCI Continental Circuits. Die siebte Saison beginnt am 1. Oktober 2011 und endet am 30. September 2012. Die Eintagesrennen und Etappenrennen der UCI America Tour sind in drei Kategorien (HC, 1 und 2) eingeteilt. Bei jedem Rennen werden Punkte für eine Wertung vergeben. An dieser Wertung nehmen die Professional Continental Teams und die Continental Teams teil. An den einzelnen Rennen können auch ProTeams teilnehmen, die von Fahrern der ProTeams erzielten Platzierungen bleiben aber für das Ranking außer Betracht. Die UCI gab am 26. Januar 2012 bekannt, dass die drei amerikanischen Continental Teams Funvic-Pindamonhangaba, Movistar Continental Team und EPM-UNE aufgrund ihrer Platzierung in einem fiktionalen Ranking zu Saisonbeginn Startrecht zu allen Rennen der ersten und zweiten UCI-Kategorie haben. - El UCI America Tour 2011-2012 fue la octava edición del calendario ciclístico internacional americano. Se inició el 2 de octubre de 2011 en Trinidad y Tobago, con la carrera Tobago Cycling Classic y finalizó el 15 de septiembre de 2012 en Estados Unidos con el Bucks County classic. El campeón de esta edición del UCI America Tour fue el australiano Rory Sutherland miembro del equipo estadounidense UnitedHealthcare. Sutherland logró la mayoría de los puntos con victorias generales en los Tours de Gila y Beauce y con 26 puntos que obtuvo sobre el final del calendario en el USA Pro Cycling Challenge, logrando desplazar al segundo lugar al argentino Maximiliano Richeze, quién estuvo en primera posición gran parte del calendario gracias a los puntos obtenidos en el campeonato panamericano de ciclismo y la Vuelta a Venezuela. Tercero finalizó el venezolano Miguel Ubeto que logró sus principales puntos en el Campeonato de Venezuela en Ruta y en la vuelta a Venezuela. Por equipos el ganador fue el brasileño Real Cycling Team quién subió al primer lugar también sobre el final del calendario al obtener 141 puntos en el Tour de Río, desplazando a otro equipo brasileño, el Funvic-Pindamonhangaba que acabó segundo. Las clasificaciones por países y países sub-23 fueron dominadas por Colombia. (es)
