In honor of Feller, the Indians implemented many tributes to their former ace, including all players wearing No. 19 (Feller's jersey number retired by the club in 1957) during pre-game introductions on Opening Day, an outline patch of Feller's pitching motion sewn onto the team's jerseys and to be worn throughout the season, and the press-box seat used by Feller upon retirement made into a memorial.
