- Bei den Parlamentswahlen in Osttimor 2007 wurde am 30. Juni 2007 die neue Zusammensetzung des Nationalparlaments Osttimors (Parlamento Nacional de Timor-Leste) durch die Bevölkerung des Landes bestimmt. 529.198 Wähler waren stimmberechtigt, 708 Wahllokale standen bereit. Im neuen Parlament saßen daraufhin 65 Abgeordnete für die kommenden fünf Jahre. Stärkste Partei wurde wieder die FRETILIN, jedoch nur noch mit 21 Abgeordneten. Die Regierung stellte aber die Aliança da Maioria Parlamentar AMP (Allianz der Parlamentarischen Mehrheit), eine Koalition aus CNRT, PD und ASDT/PSD, die 37 Sitze innehatte. Neuer Premierminister wurde der Vorsitzende des CNRT und ehemalige Staatspräsident Osttimors Xanana Gusmão. Vorangegangen war ein Streit, welche Partei laut Verfassung das Recht habe, von Staatspräsident José Ramos-Horta den Auftrag zur Regierungsbildung zu erhalten. (de)

New Prime Minister Xanana Gusmão (who was the nation's President until May 2007) of the National Congress for Timorese Reconstruction (CNRT) was sworn in on 8 August 2007; Fernando de Araújo of the Democratic Party became President of the National Parliament. Do zdobycia w wyborach było 65 mandatów w jednoizbowym parlamecie. Próg wyborczy wynoszący 3%, przekroczyło 7 ugrupowań politycznych. (pl)

Embora a Frente Revolucionária de Timor-Leste Independente (FRETILIN) tivesse conseguido maioria simples, o novo governo foi formado por uma coligação que uniu os três grupos seguintes mais votados. O novo primeiro-ministro, Xanana Gusmão (que foi presidente do país até maio de 2007) do (CNRT) foi empossado em 8 de Agosto de 2007, tendo Fernando de Araújo, do Partido Democrático como presidente do Parlamento.
