- The 2000 African Men's Handball Championship was the 14th edition of the African Men's Handball Championship, held in Algiers, Algeria, from 22 April to 1 May 2000. It acted as the African qualifying tournament for the 2001 World Championship in France. Egypt finished first in the round robin tournament and wins its third African title. Algeria finished second and Tunisia third. (en)
- La 14e édition du championnat d'Afrique des nations masculin de handball a eu lieu en Algérie du 22 avril au lundi 1er mai 2000. Le tournoi réunit les meilleures équipes masculines de handball d'Afrique et se déroule en même temps que le tournoi féminin. Ce championnat sert de qualification pour le championnat du monde 2001. La compétition se déroule sous la forme d'un championnat unique remporté pour la troisième fois par l'Égypte qui devance l'Algérie et la Tunisie. (fr)
- Mistrzostwa Afryki w piłce ręcznej mężczyzn 2000 – czternaste mistrzostwa Afryki w piłce ręcznej mężczyzn, oficjalny międzynarodowy turniej piłki ręcznej o randze mistrzostw kontynentu organizowany przez CAHB mający na celu wyłonienie najlepszej męskiej reprezentacji narodowej w Afryce. Odbył się w dniach 24 kwietnia–1 maja 2000 roku w Algierii. Tytułu zdobytego w 1998 roku broniła reprezentacja Tunezji. Drużyny rywalizowały systemem kołowym, cztery najlepsze awansowały na MŚ 2001 na czele z nowymi mistrzami kontynentu – reprezentacją Egiptu. (pl)
