- Evropská hokejová liga 1999/2000 byla čtvrtým a posledním ročníkem Evropské ligy. Ročník probíhal od 21. září 1999 do 6. února 2000. Vítězem se stal ruský klub Metallurg Magnitogorsk, který ve finále porazil pražskou Spartu. V soutěži byl použit stejný bodovací systém jako v předchozích dvou ročnících, tedy tzv. "trojbodový" systém. (cs)
- The 1999–2000 European Hockey League was the fourth and last edition of the European Hockey League. The season started on September 21, 1999, and finished on February 6, 2000. The tournament was won by Metallurg Magnitogorsk, who beat HC Sparta Praha in the final. The points system used in the first round of the tournament was: the winner in regular time won 3 points; in case of a tie, an overtime is played, the winner in overtime won 2 points and the loser in overtime won 1 point. - Die Saison 1999/2000 der European Hockey League war die vierte und letzte Austragung des Wettbewerbs der Internationalen Eishockey-Föderation IIHF. Er wurde zwischen dem 21. September 1999 und 6. Februar 2000 ausgetragen. Insgesamt nahmen 16 Mannschaften – so wenige wie nie in der Geschichte der EHL – aus elf Nationen teil. Die Ligen aus Russland, Finnland, Tschechien, Schweden und Deutschland waren mit jeweils zwei Teams im Wettbewerb vertreten. Als letzter Sieger des traditionellen Final Four, das im Resega in schweizerischen Lugano veranstaltet wurde, ging der HK Metallurg Magnitogorsk aus der russischen Superliga hervor, der bereits im Vorjahr den Titel in Form der Silver Stone Trophy errungen hatte. Das Team aus dem Ural traf – wie bereits der Gewinner der beiden Vorjahre – auf den Sieger des IIHF Continental Cups, um den IIHF Super Cup auszuspielen. Insgesamt besuchten 225.369 Zuschauer die 60 Spiele des Wettbewerbs, womit ein Schnitt von lediglich 3.756 pro Partie erreicht wurde. Aufgrund der fehlenden Resonanz sowohl bei den Teams und Ligen selbst als auch den Zuschauern und Sponsoren wurde die European Hockey League seitens der IIHF im Folgejahr eingestellt. Erst mit dem im Jahr 2005 ins Leben gerufenen IIHF European Champions Cup wurde wieder der beste Landesmeister Europas gekürt. (de)

A questa edizione vi hanno partecipato 16 squadre di 11 nazioni. Le leghe di Russia, Finlandia, Repubblica Ceca, Svezia e Germania sono state rappresentate nella competizione da due squadre. Il torneo è stato vinto dalla squadra russa del Metallurg Magnitogorsk, che ha battuto in finale i cechi dello Sparta Praga. (it)
