- The 1926 Five Nations Championship was the twelfth series of the rugby union Five Nations Championship following the inclusion of France into the Home Nations Championship. Including the previous Home Nations Championships, this was the thirty-ninth series of the annual northern hemisphere rugby union championship. Ten matches were played between 3 January and 2 April. It was contested by England, France, Ireland, Scotland and Wales. Ireland missed out on a first Grand Slam after losing to Wales at St. Helen's. (en)

Per la sesta volta la vittoria fu condivisa: ad aggiudicarsi il torneo furono Scozia e Irlanda, rispettivamente alla propria dodicesima e sesta affermazione; gli irlandesi mancarono l'occasione di fare punteggio pieno e Grande Slam nella loro ultima partita a Swansea, persa 5-8 contro il Galles; una settimana più tardi, la Scozia difese la Calcutta Cup battendo l'Inghilterra a Twickenham e affiancando gli irlandesi in classifica generale. Il valore delle marcature, come stabilito dall’IRFB nel 1905, era: 3 punti per ciascuna meta (5 se trasformata), 3 punti per la realizzazione di ciascun calcio piazzato o mark, 4 punti per la realizzazione di ciascun drop. - Puchar Pięciu Narodów 1926 – dwunasta edycja Pucharu Pięciu Narodów, corocznego turnieju w rugby union rozgrywanego pomiędzy pięcioma najlepszymi zespołami narodowymi półkuli północnej, która odbyła się pomiędzy 2 stycznia a 5 kwietnia 1926 roku. Wliczając turnieje w poprzedniej formie, od czasów Home Nations Championship, była to trzydziesta dziewiąta edycja tych zawodów. W turnieju zwyciężyły wspólnie Szkocja i Irlandia. Zgodnie z ówczesnymi zasadami punktowania dropgol był warty cztery punkty, podwyższenie dwa, natomiast przyłożenie i pozostałe kopy trzy punkty. (pl)
