- Schloss Östanå (schwedisch Östanå slott) liegt¨zwischen Stockholm und Norrtälje in der historischen Provinz Uppland. Östanå war eines der Schlösser im Stockholmer Schärengarten, welche 1719 von dem russischen Heer gebrandschatzt wurden. Auf dem Besitz des Schlosses wurde 1629 gegründet, ein Waffenlieferant für den schwedischen Staat und die schwedische Krone im Laufe des Dreißigjährigen Krieges und bis zum 18. Jahrhundert. Östanå befindet sich in schöner Lage auf Terrassen, welche in das Meer münden. Es ist von einem Barockgarten umgeben sowie einem Park mit starkem Wildwuchs. Das Hauptgebäude wurde in den Jahren 1791 bis 1794 nach Entwürfen von Degenaer und Louis Jean Desprez für (1726–1803) errichtet. Se localiza en el municipio de Österåker en el condado de Estocolmo, y se sitúa a unos 50 km al nordeste de la ciudad de Estocolmo. El castillo domina el principal canal de navegación hacia Estocolmo a través del archipiélago de Estocolmo, y el puerto de ferries de , del que salen ferries a la isla de Ljusterö, se sitúa justo al oeste del castillo. Entre los siglos XIV y XVII, varias familias de la nobleza sueca poseyeron el castillo. El edificio de madera original fue destruido en 1719, durante el , y el actual edificio principal fue construido en 1791 y 1794. A finales del siglo XIX el castillo fue el hogar de Erik Gustaf Boström, el entonces primer ministro de Suecia. It is located in the Österåker Municipality of Stockholm County, and is situated some 50 kilometres (31 mi) north-east of Stockholm City. The castle overlooks the main shipping channel into Stockholm through the Stockholm archipelago, and the ferry port of Östanå, from which ferries cross to the island of Ljusterö, lies just to the west of the castle. Between the 14th and 17th centuries, various families from the Swedish nobility owned the castle. The original wooden building was destroyed in 1719, during the Russian Pillage, and the current main building was built between 1791 and 1794. At the end of the 19th century the castle was home to Erik Gustaf Boström, the then prime minister of Sweden. The Boström family sold the castle in 2006, and by 2016 it was in a poor state of repair, and up for sale for 35 million kronor. (en)
