  • 周強，湖北黃梅人。現任中共湖南省委副書記、省長。研究生學歷，1976年8月參加工作。1983年加入中國共產黨。1995年11月任共青團中央書記處書記。1998年6月在中國共產主義青年團第十四次全國代表大會上當選為共青團中央書記處第一書記。2003年7月在共青團十五大上再次連任共青團中央第一書記。2006年9月任中共湖南省委委員、常委、副書記、副省長、代省長。同年年底中共中央免去其共青團中央書記處第一書記職務。2007年2月當選為湖南省省長。 2005年4月，周強榮獲聯合國環境規劃署頒發的首屆「地球衛士獎」。 中共第十六屆、十七屆中央委員。第九屆全國人大常委會委員、全國人大內務司法委員會委員，第十屆全國人大代表。
