The Youth Party - European Greens (Stranka mladih - Zeleni Evrope, SMS-Zeleni) is a green political party in Slovenia. It is led by Darko Krajnc. Until July 2009, it was called Youth Party of Slovenia (Stranka mladih Slovenije, SMS). In the latest election the Youth Party ran a joint list with the Slovenian People's Party. The joint list secured 5 seats on 5.2% of the vote . At the parliamentary elections on 3 October 2004, the party won 2.1% of the popular vote and no seats.

Established 4 July, 2000, by those dissatisfied with the political situation at the time, the Youth Party of Slovenia sought to regenerate politics within the country. Traditionally, the youth in Slovenia have been unresponsive to political issues and though the party strongly encourages young people to get involved it considers itself a party for anyone who desires a fresh and spirited approach to politics in Slovenia. The party is a member of the European Green Party. Fino al 2009 si chiamava Partito della Gioventù della Slovenia (Stranka mladih Slovenije). È guidato da Darko Krajnc. Il partito, fondato il 4 luglio 2000 da persone insoddisfatte della situazione nazionale, si prefigge di coinvolgere i giovani nella partecipazione politica, ma si dichiara aperto a chiunque desideri un nuovo approccio alla politica. Ha ottenuto la sua unica rappresentanza parlamentare alle elezioni del 2000, con il 4,3% dei voti e 4 seggi. Alle elezioni politiche del 2004 ha ottenuto il 2,1% dei voti e nessun seggio. Alle europee dello stesso anno la lista unita con i Verdi ha ottenuto il 2,3% dei voti e nessun seggio; in quella occasione ha patito l'uscita di molti militanti, che in seguito hanno costituito Slovenia Attiva. Alle politiche del 2008 SMS si allea con il Partito Popolare Sloveno, cristiani-agrari. L'alleanza SMS-SLS ottine il 5,2% dei voti e 7 seggi, 2 in meno di quanti ne avessero da soli i Popolari.
  • De Jongerenpartij van Slovenië, afgekort tot SMS, is een Sloveense politieke partij, die op 4 juli 2000 in Ljubljana werd opgericht. De partij heeft waarnemerstatus bij de Europese Groenen en heeft een aanvraag voor volledig lidmaatschap ingediend. Voorzitter is Darko Krajnc (sinds 1 december 2004). De SMS sloot na de verkiezingen van 2000 een akkoord met premier Janez Drnovšek en verzekerde zich via steun aan diens kabinet van de realisering van een aantal politieke benoemingen en enige programmapunten. In de loop van 2004 werd de partij geteisterd door interne onenigheid. Parlementslid Igor Štemberger stapte, net als andere SMS-leden, over naar de niet-parlementaire partij Actief Slovenië. De jongerenpartij behaalde bij de landelijke verkiezingen in 2000 4,34% van de stemmen, hetgeen 4 zetels in het 90-leden tellende parlement betekenden. Bij de verkiezingen voor het Europees Parlement (mei 2004) ging de SMS een lijstverbinding aan met de Groenen van Slovenië en behaalde 2,3%. In oktober 2004 werd in de Sloveense parlementsverkiezingen 2,08% behaald. Daarmee zakte de partij onder de kiesdrempel van 4% en verdween uit het parlement.
