Yield is the fifth studio album by the American alternative rock band Pearl Jam, released on February 3, 1998 through Epic Records. Following a short tour for its previous album, No Code (1996), Pearl Jam went into the studio in 1997 to record its follow-up. The album was proclaimed as a return to the band's early, straightforward rock sound. Yield debuted at number two on the Billboard 200, but like No Code, soon began dropping down the charts.
