- Xenomania is a UK pop songwriting production house. It was founded by songwriter and producer Brian Higgins after completing work with Dannii Minogue and Cher in the late 1990s. Since then, they have written, produced and remixed tracks for 2000s pop acts, including Sugababes, Girls Aloud, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Dannii and Kylie Minogue, Cher, Rachel Stevens, Texas, Saint Etienne and Mania, who are comprised former Xenomania Niara Scarlett and Giselle Sommerville. In particular, all 20 of Girls Aloud's singles have been produced by them and have reached the top ten of the UK Singles Chart. Of Higgins and Xenomania, Girls Aloud's former manager, Louis Walsh, says, "He just makes great songs for radio. They just jump out at you and stay in your brain.". Xenomania recently worked with British pop duo Pet Shop Boys on their latest album Yes. They are known for the wide influences present in their productions, most notably in their principal act, Girls Aloud. Strands of electro, more traditional pop, rave, power pop, and dance are in their productions. The name "Xenomania" means, according to Higgins, "the exact opposite of Xenophobia... a love of everything, of all cultures. " Current members of the Xenomania writing and production team include Nick Coler, Miranda Cooper (also known as Moonbaby, and who shares co-writing credits in nearly all Xenomania-written tracks), Lisa Cowling, Tim Powell,Carla-Marie Williams and Matt Gray. American singer-songwriter Jessie Malakouti joined the UK producing team in 2008, while working for her debut album due in 2009.
