A number of singles, performed by Lee Dorsey, followed in 1965-66, including "Working in the Coal Mine". It was a Lee Dorsey hit, and entered the top 40 in the U.S. on August 13, 1966, where it reached #8. In 1981 Devo recorded the song for the movie Heavy Metal.
