William Harding Jackson was a U.S. civilian administrator. He served as Deputy Director of the CIA, and as the United States National Security Advisor in 1956. Harding received his B.A. from Princeton University (1924) and his LL.B. from Harvard Law School (1928) and worked as an attorney and investment banker in New York City. During World War II, Harding served in the United States Army (1942-1945) as an intelligence officer on the staff of General Omar Bradley.
